LTL Carrier Service Standards
Through our strategic relationship with SMC3, AGO has a database that
contains, for the 150 largest LTL carriers in the United States, the standard
service days published by each of those carriers for any shipment from any zip
code in the U.S. to any zip code in the U.S. This database of points of service,
transit times, and detailed service guide information is integrated into our
Transportation Management System solution for LTL shipments. Our shippers
are assured that the carrier selected services the origin and destination zip
codes on a direct basis and avoids costly interline indirect shipments usually not
covered with the same deep discounts available on direct shipments. In
addition, access to these service standards, updated monthly, guarantees for
our customers that appropriate carriers are selected for each shipment based
on the published service standards for each carrier.
